Cruyff Court Carles Puyol

The Cruyff Court Carles Puyol is an equipment born of the alliance amongst the Cruyff Foundation, the Social Work of ”la Caixa”, the FC Barcelona Foundation and Carles Puyol, with an clear objective: the social inclusion of vulnerable children and youth through the practice of the sport. The court of la Pobla is located in la Plaça de les Pobles, right in front of the Train Station.

Simply kicking a ball around on the street has often become nothing more than a thing of the past. Neighbourhoods are built up, the streets are packed with cars, and traffic is busy.

Children need a safe place that encourages them to play outside. That’s what Cruyff Courts are: a safe place to get together and where children get to know the importance of togetherness, making friends, discovering your own talents, and winning and losing. These are valuable experiences that they carry with them as they develop physically and mentally, and as they move into society.
