About 500 people attend the concerts at La Fresca this August

This week has ended the sixth edition of the Concerts a la Fresca organized by the City Council of La Pobla de Segur and the Cultural Volunteers every Wednesday in August and which had the participation of more than 500 people.

On the first Wednesday we were able to enjoy the jazz versions of the Carena Sextet group, an emerging group of excellent young instrumentalists. In the second concert we gladly applauded the jazz and swing of the singer Sabine Van Waesberghe accompanied by the virtuoso Lorenzo Spinozzi on guitar. The fun music to the rhythm of rumba is what the Sant Pau Rhum Band group delighted us with again, who made us spend an evening full of laughter and good humor. The rain did not prevent the fourth concert in which we were able to enjoy the show “Amb veu de dona” by Againsam, a trio with a magnificent voice, a spectacular keyboard and a magnificent saxophonist.

The groups that perform at the Concerts a la fresca are chosen by vote of the members of the group of Volunteers of Culture of La Pobla de Segur, mainly considering their artistic quality more than other variants.

These concerts have been held in the playground of the Els Raiers school with a considerable influx of public, both from La Pobla and other towns in the region, who enthusiastically applaud all the groups and who have responded with encores at each concert.
